Good days ahead. So because I'm not a tax person (I'm in audit), my busy season is dying down. Right now I'm at a client that has little to no pressure. The client's that were hanging over my head are done. I feel all in all good. So I was in a good mood today. I had a doctor's appointment at around 3, so I left work around 1:45 and went and picked my 5 year old up from Kindergarten early. My son and I don't get the time together like we did before his sister was born. She's very possessive of me and when I'm home and trying to talk to my son, she's there. So I figured pick him up and drag him along for the trip. He was good at the doctor's office for a 5 year old and after we went to the Art Museum. I'm not just saying this, but my boy is good at Art. He's creative and is truly talented (confirmed by people who are not Grandma). Instead of pausing and looking at each piece of art, I let my son drag me around the museum at break neck speed. We saw a good chunk of the 3 story museum in the 45 minutes we were there. He really liked the mideval display with armor and swords. He'd had a good day at school so we went out to eat (all of us) at his choice, Burger King and then some frozen custard. All in all a good day. The doctor also let me know that I don't have to take a medicine that causes me to be drowsy well into the next day to cure my daily headaches. That we have several options that all need blood tests drawn after a month to make sure it's not doing more damage than good (sounds great). We'll see.
